Frederic Bastien Speaking in IoT Innovation Panel | Toronto, CA

Fonds de Solidarité FTQ presents: The Internet of Things – Momentum Continues

mnubo’s CEO and co founder, Frederic Bastien, will join industry thought leaders to discuss the importance of innovation and the Internet of Things (IoT) on accelerating Canada’s venture capital and private equity industry.

Now, more than ever, innovation is important for the Canadian economy, but innovation entails more than just an overused buzz word.  The panel will demystify the term ‘innovation’ and talk about its importance on the global and national economies in order to create value for the venture capital and private equity industry.

The panel will then narrow its discussion to the IoT given its accelerated interest by investors and corporations over the past few years. Acquisition activity remains strong and many players have emerged which has blurred the lines of who is doing what in IoT. The panel will cut through the noise and talk about how the IoT market is shaking out.

Peter Williams, CTO of BGI at IBM
Rick Huijbregts, VP General Manager Connected Communities, Cisco
