Fred is a passionate entrepreneur with a keen sense for innovation and business value creation, and spent the last 20 years at the forefront of the mobile and data industries. Since founding mnubo in 2012, Fred has been a catalyst in helping equipment manufacturers monetize their data and enable business transformation. Prior to mnubo, Fred built the vision and led the product organization at Blueslice Networks up to its acquisition by Tekelec, which was awarded the 2010 'Best Deal Maker Award' from Light Reading. Frederic also served in senior positions at Nortel, leading the product management teams for 3G, based in Paris and later on LTE, based in Dallas. Fred started his career in the early-day team at Fido, deploying Canada's first GSM network
Frederic is deeply involved in the Montreal startup ecosystem and is advisor and mentor to a dozen startups, sits on the board of directors for ENCQOR, a Canada-Quebec-Ontario partnership to establish the first Canadian pre-commercial corridor of 5G digital infrastructure, while also co-chairing Technopolys, Quebec's most ambitious IT industry promotion movement.
Recently, Frederic led mnubo to win the 2017 ADRIQ Innovation Award. He was also recognized as Quebec’s 2014 EY Emerging Entrepreneur of the year and received the 2014 PWC Vision to Reality award. Fred holds a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering – Telecommunications from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Lyne is a proven business leader with a passion for building customer-centric teams that capitalize on market opportunities in hyper-growth tech sectors. Highly focused on customer value and company goals, Lyne leads an energetic group that drives performance and exceptional results for customers. As the CRO at Mnubo, Lyne brings a deep understanding of taking complex, innovative technologies to international markets. She works jointly with global companies to build digital transformation strategies to help them realize the power of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things solutions for their business.
Prior to Mnubo, Lyne was the VP of Global Sales at iBwave, a division of Corning Inc, where she spearheaded the sales and business development teams across five continents. Anchored around a customer-first strategy, she delivered significant growth to iBwave, successfully serving 1,000 customers across 100 countries. Under Lyne’s leadership, iBwave achieved the strongest revenue growth in its history. In the past, for Bell Canada, Lyne managed wholesale markets globally across diverse verticals including: retail, manufacturing, cities & municipalities as well as IT services.
Dedicated to social causes, Lyne spent four years on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Foundation, and over 20 years as a member of the Mental Illness Foundations Board of Directors.
Lyne is a trained lawyer, specialized in corporate law, from the Université de Montréal and has a broad range of leadership experience in the software sector over the past 15 years.
Jean-Christophe is a cloud platform and big data analytics guru with a strong focus on developing highly scalable and reliable solutions which provide immediate benefits and create future value for mnubo’s customers. He leads the development of the smartobjects software platform – the ultimate cloud-based solution to manage and analyze IoT data. He is passionate about adapting best-in-class Big Data analytics technologies to power the richest suite of IoT data analytics which provide the fastest, most accurate and most relevant results for our customers.
Jean-Christophe boasts an impressive academic background, with an MA in Computer Science & Engineering from École Polytechnique de Marseille and an MA in Physics from the University of Reunion Island.
Adi is passionate about solving complex business challenges. He adapts a customer-centric approach to deriving synergies and he leads the products, partnerships, business development and marketing initiatives at mnubo. He strongly believes in building relationships that maximize benefits for all partners. Adi loves to work closely with customers and the development team to transform and adapt technology into business value solutions.
Adi has a B. Eng in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and an MBA (Honors) from John Molson School of Business
Jean-Charles is a diverse, experienced software designer and leads the data science at mnubo. His design emphasis is to produce new and creative analytic solutions. He works closely with customers to extract value from their increasing volume, variety and velocity of data.
Jean-Charles holds a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Robert is a highly experienced operations and services leader and currently heads mnubo’s cloud operations. He loves to be the ‘voice of the customer’ towards product and solutions decisions, and works very closely with customers to ensure the highest level of satisfaction. Robert carefully manages the orchestration of mnubo’s infrastructure, delivery of professional services, and the availability of continuous customer service.
Robert has a B.Eng in Engineering – Telecommunications from École Polytechnique de Montréalal and an Executive MBA
Evens is a results-oriented leader with a keen sense for customer value creation. He is leading Mnubo's customer value management strategy, where his customer-centric approach fast tracks Time-to-Value for IoT-driven business initiatives. Evens holds over 20 years of business development, sales and product management experience in fields covering both wireless telecommunication and industrial M2M/IoT applications.
Evens holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and an MBA from University of Texas at Dallas – School of Management
Susan is a well-regarded finance leader and loves the energy that resonates from fast-growing startups. With over 20 years of proven experience, Susan manages mnubo’s overall financial health, fundraising and corporate milestones, and key operating metrics. Her strong knowledge of managing technology companies in Canada are immensely valuable to accelerate mnubo’s development and commercialization plans.
Susan has an MBA and professional CPA from Université du Québec à Montréal.
Charles is proven a sales leader and possesses an impressive record of delivering customer value at data-driven technology companies. He currently heads mnubo’s global sales. With over 18 years of experience, Charles loves spending time with customers to effectively understand their business needs and helps channel the mnubo team’s efforts to provide the most suitable solutions. He demonstrates a proven ability of building brand equity and facilitating mutually beneficially discussions. He is passionate about building strong relationships anchored on joint success.
Charles has a B.A in Business Decision Analysis from the University of West England.
M. Martin has more than 20 years’ experience building analytics solutions in emerging markets. Previously, he was Director of Products, Text Analytics at Nstein Technologies. Martin’s leadership role covers all steps of the technology life-cycle including idea generation, concept development and business analysis, technical implementation, and commercialization.
Martin holds a M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Laval University
Matt McElhattan is Investment Director for Munich Re / HSB Ventures, the strategic corporate venture arm of Munich Re, one of the world's leading reinsurers, and its specialty insurance and engineering services subsidiary HSB Group. As Investment Director he identifies, invests in and mentors innovative companies with growth potential for Munich Re and HSB Group. Matt has more than a decade's experience in venture capital. With his background he combines the intellectual curiosity of an industrial engineer, the strategic perspective of a management consultant and the pragmatism of a realist who understands the challenge of technology transfer and adoption. In addition to mnubo, he currently serves on the boards of Next Insurance, Super, We Predict, and is a board observer for Bought by Many.
Matt holds a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Whitney is the co-founder of McRock Capital, a venture capital firm focused exclusively on the Industrial Internet. She brings over 15 years of investment, operating and strategic planning experience in large, established industries such as power, water and oil & gas. She is refreshingly real and passionate about women-in-tech and inspiring girls to get into STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math).In addition to mnubo, she currently serves on the boards of RtTech and is on the executive committee and board of the Canadian Venture Capital Association, the Venture Capital Association of Alberta and Ryerson’s Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Whitney has a B.Comm in Marketing from Ryerson University and an MBA (Honors) from the University of Calgary.
Jean-François (“JF”) Marcoux has several years of experience in managing startups and investment projects. He was the co-founder of Ludia, a leading digital videogame publisher, and managed all non-product related operations including Finance, Legal, Strategy and HR. JF gained extensive operational experience with his role at Ludia which grew from a startup to a highly profitable 300 employee company today. Prior to co-founding Ludia, JF held senior positions in M&A, financing and VC in the media and technology sectors, with a large publicly-traded media and printing company, a leading Canadian Investment Bank and one of the largest institutional fund managers in Canada.
JF graduated from HEC Montreal, holds an M. Sc. in Finance from the University of Sherbrooke, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
